CVE-2023-36480 Aug 04, 2023
Aerospike Java Client RCE via Deserialization (v<4.5.0,5.2.0,6.2.0,7.0.0) The Aerospike Java client is a Java application that implements a network protocol to communicate with an Aerospike server. Prior to versions 7.0.0, 6.2.0, 5.2.0, and 4.5.0 some of the messages received from the server contain Java objects that the client deserializes when it encounters them without further validation. Attackers that manage to trick clients into communicating with a malicious server can include especially crafted objects in its responses that, once deserialized by the client, force it to execute arbitrary code. This can be abused to take control of the machine the client is running on. Versions 7.0.0, 6.2.0, 5.2.0, and 4.5.0 contain a patch for this issue.

CVE-2020-13151 Aug 05, 2020
Aerospike Community Edition 4.9.0.5 Aerospike Community Edition 4.9.0.5 allows for unauthenticated submission and execution of user-defined functions (UDFs), written in Lua, as part of a database query. It attempts to restrict code execution by disabling os.execute() calls, but this is insufficient. Anyone with network access can use a crafted UDF to execute arbitrary OS commands on all nodes of the cluster at the permission level of the user running the Aerospike service.

CVE-2016-9053 Feb 21, 2017
An exploitable out-of-bounds indexing vulnerability exists within the RW fabric message particle type of Aerospike Database Server 3.10.0.3 An exploitable out-of-bounds indexing vulnerability exists within the RW fabric message particle type of Aerospike Database Server 3.10.0.3. A specially crafted packet can cause the server to fetch a function table outside the bounds of an array resulting in remote code execution. An attacker can simply connect to the port to trigger this vulnerability.

CVE-2016-9051 Feb 21, 2017
An exploitable out-of-bounds write vulnerability exists in the batch transaction field parsing functionality of Aerospike Database Server 3.10.0.3 An exploitable out-of-bounds write vulnerability exists in the batch transaction field parsing functionality of Aerospike Database Server 3.10.0.3. A specially crafted packet can cause an out-of-bounds write resulting in memory corruption which can lead to remote code execution. An attacker can simply connect to the port to trigger this vulnerability.
Database Server
CVE-2016-9049 Feb 21, 2017
An exploitable denial-of-service vulnerability exists in the fabric-worker component of Aerospike Database Server 3.10.0.3 An exploitable denial-of-service vulnerability exists in the fabric-worker component of Aerospike Database Server 3.10.0.3. A specially crafted packet can cause the server process to dereference a null pointer. An attacker can simply connect to a TCP port in order to trigger this vulnerability.

CVE-2016-9054 Jan 26, 2017
An exploitable stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability exists in the querying functionality of Aerospike Database Server 3.10.0.3 An exploitable stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability exists in the querying functionality of Aerospike Database Server 3.10.0.3. A specially crafted packet can cause a stack-based buffer overflow in the function as_sindex__simatch_list_by_set_binid resulting in remote code execution. An attacker can simply connect to the port to trigger this vulnerability.

CVE-2016-9052 Jan 26, 2017
An exploitable stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability exists in the querying functionality of Aerospike Database Server 3.10.0.3 An exploitable stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability exists in the querying functionality of Aerospike Database Server 3.10.0.3. A specially crafted packet can cause a stack-based buffer overflow in the function as_sindex__simatch_by_iname resulting in remote code execution. An attacker can simply connect to the port to trigger this vulnerability.

CVE-2016-9050 Jan 26, 2017
An exploitable out-of-bounds read vulnerability exists in the client message-parsing functionality of Aerospike Database Server 3.10.0.3 An exploitable out-of-bounds read vulnerability exists in the client message-parsing functionality of Aerospike Database Server 3.10.0.3. A specially crafted packet can cause an out-of-bounds read resulting in disclosure of memory within the process, the same vulnerability can also be used to trigger a denial of service. An attacker can simply connect to the port and send the packet to trigger this vulnerability.
