Vulnerability in the Oracle Work in Process product of Oracle E-Business Suite (component: Internal Operations). Supported versions that are affected are 12.2.5-12.2.15. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows low privileged attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise Oracle Work in Process. Successful attacks require human interaction from a person other than the attacker and while the vulnerability is in Oracle Work in Process, attacks may significantly impact additional products (scope change). Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized update, insert or delete access to some of Oracle Work in Process accessible data as well as unauthorized read access to a subset of Oracle Work in Process accessible data. What is an Open Redirect Vulnerability?

A web application accepts a user-controlled input that specifies a link to an external site, and uses that link in a Redirect. This simplifies phishing attacks. An http parameter may contain a URL value and could cause the web application to redirect the request to the specified URL. By modifying the URL value to a malicious site, an attacker may successfully launch a phishing scam and steal user credentials. Because the server name in the modified link is identical to the original site, phishing attempts have a more trustworthy appearance.
