CVE-2026-61186 Published on July 21, 2026
Vulnerability in the Oracle Agile Engineering Data Management product of Oracle Supply Chain (component: Install). The supported version that is affected is 6.2.1. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows unauthenticated attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise Oracle Agile Engineering Data Management. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized creation, deletion or modification access to critical data or all Oracle Agile Engineering Data Management accessible data as well as unauthorized read access to a subset of Oracle Agile Engineering Data Management accessible data and unauthorized ability to cause a hang or frequently repeatable crash (complete DOS) of Oracle Agile Engineering Data Management. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 9.4 (Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:H/A:H).
Vulnerability Analysis
CVE-2026-61186 is exploitable with network access, and does not require authorization privileges or user interaction. This vulnerability is considered to have a low attack complexity. The potential impact of an exploit of this vulnerability is considered to have a small impact on confidentiality, a high impact on integrity and availability.
Weakness Types
Missing Authentication for Critical Function
The software does not perform any authentication for functionality that requires a provable user identity or consumes a significant amount of resources.
What is an Authorization Vulnerability?
The software does not restrict or incorrectly restricts access to a resource from an unauthorized actor.
CVE-2026-61186 has been classified to as an Authorization vulnerability or weakness.
Incorrect Permission Assignment for Critical Resource
The product specifies permissions for a security-critical resource in a way that allows that resource to be read or modified by unintended actors. When a resource is given a permissions setting that provides access to a wider range of actors than required, it could lead to the exposure of sensitive information, or the modification of that resource by unintended parties. This is especially dangerous when the resource is related to program configuration, execution or sensitive user data.
What is a Resource Exhaustion Vulnerability?
The software does not properly control the allocation and maintenance of a limited resource, thereby enabling an actor to influence the amount of resources consumed, eventually leading to the exhaustion of available resources.
CVE-2026-61186 has been classified to as a Resource Exhaustion vulnerability or weakness.
